Because how your website is built matters
Your website runs on thousands and thousands of lines of code, all working together to deliver your message, manage your content, and display your lovely design in the best light possible. When you hire a developer, you are trusting them to do all of that and more through the code they create. That’s why you want someone with experience, someone who understands WordPress and CSS and HTML. Because you want it done right.
Every website I develop is built with WordPress on the Genesis framework and lovingly coded with CSS3 and HTML5. I like to call it coding poetry. But don’t worry about the acronyms, I’ll explain everything to you in a language you can understand. And, to make sure you get started with your new site on the right foot, I include all of the following:
- Installation and configuration of WordPress, in case you’re a first time WordPress user
- Your home page plus up to four content pages loaded and styled (more available for an additional fee)
- A customized suite of plugins to manage all the little details for you, like SEO, spam, and analytics
- A year of daily backups provided by VaultPress, to keep your site safe
- Your own personalized PDF guide to your website. I like to call it Care and Feeding of Your New Online Home.
- Two-weeks of email support for any questions that come up after you’ve settled in

Website development starts at $5000 and takes 6-8 weeks, depending on how complex your site is. Please know website design is not included in this price.
